Gregg Allman,
Great to hear you have made it through the immediate and critical part of your liver transplant. I am just a sweet Southern gal, lifelong fan. and Emergency Nurse.
Used to have a place in LV , NC - so knew Dale Betts and her family a bit back in the day.
I have had my share of health issues as well, hitting 50 yrs old. But I am doing well thanks to European care. Just want to say, and I have no idea if anyone of any consequence reads these or not- I am not working - but hold an active unrestricted NC RN license, and I worked in ER's or Supervised them for 20 years.( certified in advanced everything)
If you need a nurse for a few days or a week, I'm your huckelberry. And I will do it for free- just get me there from Charlotte or Concord Airport.
In Memory of Elizabeth Reed- Live Filmore Concerts - is my all time favorite song. Listed as such on my OKC profile. I just listened to both discs this week- I had no idea you were ill.
Hope you continue to improve.
A Wallace

Another article re: Gregg's health, this one includes the following very encouraging bit:

"..Dr. Denise M. Harnois, Allman’s physician, said Allman has a form of hepatitis C that could be eradicated by the healthier new liver. The new liver could also work better with therapy if the virus returns.

“He has a favorable genotype, so he has a good chance of responding to therapy if it is needed in the future,” she said....."
