Bio of Earl McCoy, born 4-4-58 in San Antonio TX

I began the sound and lighting business my last few years of high school. 1981 I started my own sound and lighting company `STAGE SOUND & LIGHTS' As it grew I renamed the company `BIG E SOUND & LIGHTS'. I worked with many different bands over the years. Just to name a few Ray Price, Willie Nelson, Doug Sahm-(my father in law at the time) Pat Travers, Asleep at the wheel, King Diamond, Suicidal Tendency and many more.

In 1990 I became an independent audio engineer. 1991 I started working with db sound on the MC Hammer To Legit To Quit tour. After that I mixed front of house sound for Dr Dre & Snoop Dog. 1994 I became Poisons monitor engineer. Shortly thereafter, I received a phone call asking if I would like to work with The Allman Brothers Band. I said hell yes, and have been working as monitor engineer for the last 14 years with the Brothers.

As I worked with the Brothers, Gregg Allman & Friends ask if I was interested in the production manager / front of house sound position. I jumped on it and have had a great time with it now for about 3 years and running. Meanwhile, I have also worked with Gov't Mule as monitor engineer. I love the sound and production business and I am very thankful for the years and great friendships I have been able to make on the road. Look forward to seeing all of you at the gigs.
